Basketball: Indians face Trojans in Glasgow Schedule note: The Boys'/Girls' doubleheader against Marion County has been rescheduled for Wednesday February 12, 2025. Girls are set to begin that night at 5:30pmCT/6:30pmET. By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer On Saturday, February 8, 2025 the Adair County High School Indians Boys Varsity Basketball team will travel to Barren County to take on the Trojans (16-9). Tip off is set for roughtly 7:30pmCT, following the battle between the Lady Indians and Trojanettes, at Barren County High School, 507 Trojan Trail, Glasgow, KY. The Indians come in winners of 11 straight, while the Trojans come in having won 8 straight. The Trojans last outing was a 7 point win over Franklin-Simpson, while the Indians come off a 88-49 win over Monroe County. Senior Joshua Decker has led the scoring for Barren County in each of their last three outings, so the Indians will seek to slow down his production tonight. Adair County will also seek to shoot the ball well. In each of Barren County's past two losses, they have given up a team shooting upwards of 57% from the floor. The Indians could also forge a path to victory over Barren County the same that South Warren, Warren East, and Caverna were able to early in the season, by out-rebounding the Trojans and being able to score on second chance opportunities. Whether the Indians do or don't shoot the ball or out rebound the Trojans, a winning effort will require quality and physical play. This game begins a brutal 7 game stretch to end the season for the Indians with them facing tough opponents each and every outing from here on out. Make the trip to Glasgow and cheer on your ACHS Indians, or watch online at youtube. 2025-02-08 12:50:59 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Sports
Basketball: Lady Indians face Lady Trojanettes Schedule note: The Lady Indians home game against Edmonson County that was scheduled for Monday, February 10, 2025, has been canceled. By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the Adair County High School Lady Indians Varsity Basketball team returns to the court against the Barren County Trojanettes (20-4) on the road. Tipoff is scheduled for 6pmCT at Barren County High School, 507 Trojan Trail, Glasgow, KY. The Lady Indians come to today's game after two good wins, and winners of three of their past four. The Trojanettes by comparison, come off back to back loses against Franklin-Simpson in double overtime and Pulaski County. The Lady Indians have been on a very hot scoring streak lately, scoring upwards of 60 points in each of their last four games. They've scored 65 or more in their last two games, the first time the team has scored 65 or more in back to back games in almost two years. The Trojanettes have surrendered 65 points just once this season, and in fact have given up 55 points just three times all season. They are 1-2 in those games. If the Lady Indians can score the way they have in the last four games, the team should be able to compete with a Barren County team that is expected to be near the top of the Fourth Region when all is said and done, and a team currently ranked 28th in state in RPI rankings. Make the trip to Glasgow and cheer on your Lady Indians and Indians, or watch online at youtube. 2025-02-08 12:44:25 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Sports
