Basketball: Indians face Eagles at home By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County Indians Boys Varisty Basketball team return to the court todayto host to the Campbellsville Eagles (2-15) in the last 20th District regular season home game of this year. Tipoff is set for approximately 7pmCT in John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY, and tickets can be purchased online at hometownticketing.com. The Indians handily defeated the Eagles 75-50 in their last matchup in Campbellsville back in December. Adair County comes to this game after an 87-49 win over Metcalfe County last Saturday. Meanwhile, the Eagles come off a 64-75 loss to Monroe County that increased their losing streak to 5 games. In this game, the Indians need to go out and play their style of basketball, and not look ahead to the big time matchup against Bardstown looming on Saturday. The Eagles are still a dangerous team despite their record. They upset defending 5th Region runner-up Bethlehem earlier this season, and have had close games against quality opponents such as Taylor County and LaRue County. The game tips off following the duel between the Lady Eagles and Lady Indians and both of our Adair County teams could benefit from the sort of electric environment that fans provided last Friday against Taylor County. Go, Indians! 2025-01-31 12:57:52 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Sports
Basketball: Lady Indians face Lady Eagles of Campbellsville By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer On Friday, January 31, 2025, the Adair County Lady Indians Varsity Basketball team will be back at home to face the Campbellsville Lady Eagles (10-5). Tipoff is set for 5:30pmCT tonight, Friday, January 31, 2025, in John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. Tickets can be purchased online at hometownticketing.com. In their last matchup against Campbellsville, Adair County fell 71-62 on the road in a game that came right down to the wire. Coming into this one, the Lady Indians come off a 30 point win at Somerset, and the Lady Eagles come off a 9 point loss at Monroe County. Campbellsville has struggled of late, losing two straight and three of their last four. This game could have a significant impact on 20th District standings. Campbellsville currently sits in first in the district at 4-0, ahead of Taylor County at 3-1, Adair County 1-3, and Marion County 0-4. If the Lady Indians can win tonight (and Marion County loses against Taylor County tonight), the Lady Indians will clinch the No. 3 Seed in the District Tournament. Come out and support your Lady Indians! 2025-01-31 12:49:32 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Sports
