Berean Community Fellowship visits Camp Paradise Valley

By Veronica Arnold

This past weekend, Berean Community Fellowship enjoyed a good time at Camp Paradise Valley, Salvation Army campgrounds. families of all sizes and kinds and even individuals who are a part of the church family came for Family Camp. We played, we laughed, we prayed, we sort of slept.... We grew our bonds for each other; we learned to keep pushing hard together, as a family, to finish the race strong. See Philippians 3 or Hebrews 12. :)

Schmidt grew up in New York City and, like many children, was participating in a variety of different activities and sports. Karate, basketball, volleyball, he was part of it all.

In 1995, he landed a job at Lindsey Wilson College as the assistant basketball coach, and he now serves as the school's dean of students, calling Kentucky home for more than 30 years.

"Working at the college, I played intramural sports. If there was a sport to play, I was doing it," said Schmidt. "I loved being with the students and getting involved, so I was always signing up for something.
