Bruce Heilman on a visit to Dallas, Texas. There, over a dinner conversation, Heilman shared his vision for a new welcome center to greet prospective students to Campbellsville University. ACSO: Adair man arrested for vehicle theft From Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Adair County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting the theft of a 2004 Toyota Highlander from a residential driveway. Deputy Chris Tweedy initiated an investigation, and on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, Deputy Teeedy and Deputy Gary Roy located and recovered the vehicle on an offroad trail in southern Adair County. Through investigation Deputy Chris Tweedy obtained an arrest warrant for a 19 year old Adair County man. Kentucky History Day celebrates KY heritage in Frankfort From Dana Zinger Frankfort, KY - The Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) will host Kentucky History Day in historic downtown Frankfort from 8amCT/9amET until 4pmCT/5pmET on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Letter: Parkway Mowing Problem By James Roberts I think it's a disgrace that the mowing of the Cumberland Parkway hasn't been done. It's almost June and nothing! We've gone through two major holidays and still not done. There are weeds, especially poison hemlock that are several feet high and most have gone to seed. We had a local company that was contracted to mow it at one time. Don't know what happened there. Can't blame the weather for not mowing. We've had several nice days to get it done. Local elected officials need to contact Frankfort on the matter.
