Adair gets funding in ag and rural development Frankfort, KY - The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board approved $3,336,949 for agricultural diversification and rural development projects across the commonwealth at its monthly board meeting. Adair County Board of Education was approved up to $50,000 in Adair County funds to support the construction of a greenhouse at the Adair County Agriculture Facility. Pigeon saw Community Medical welcome sign By Linda Waggener with Trilby Vance On a recent Monday morning an employee of Community Medical Services on Bomar Heights reported having seen a pigeon on the grass between the nursing home and their building that didn't seem able to fly. John Tupman was Handy so he took a look, wondering if the bird might be injured because it didn't fly away as he moved closer to it. He spotted a band with a microchip on it. Turned out the pigeon was not injured, just obviously a pet, comfortable around humans. The identification numbers listed a pigeon club with an ID - in Baltimore, Maryland.
