Otis Dutton, 90, Russell County, KY (1931-2022) Otis Dutton, of Russell Springs, KY passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at Russell County Hospital. He was 90 years of age. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time antiquing. He was a serious UK Wildcat fan, and all his family knew not to bother him during the UK ballgames. Otis was also a well-known croquet player who won many championships, both locally and nationally. He was a member of the Salem United Baptist Church and had served proudly as a deacon since 2008. Many people knew Otis as the former proprietor of Dutton's Bait Shop and later, Dutton's Shoes. Flood took 37 lives in five eastern Kentucky counties Stabilization work continues after last week's historic flooding in Eastern Kentucky. In Gov. Beshear's end of the week report, there are 37 confirmed fatalities in five counties: 8 in Breathitt, 2 in Clay; 17 in Knott (13 adults and 4 children. The children are from the same family.) 3 in Letcher, and 7 in Perry County. Two are still missing.
