Flood took 37 lives in five eastern Kentucky counties Stabilization work continues after last week's historic flooding in Eastern Kentucky. In Gov. Beshear's end of the week report, there are 37 confirmed fatalities in five counties: 8 in Breathitt, 2 in Clay; 17 in Knott (13 adults and 4 children. The children are from the same family.) 3 in Letcher, and 7 in Perry County. Two are still missing.
