Adair teachers honored in annual CU awards program Adair County's Excellence in Teaching (EIT) award recipients are featured in this story. Campbellsville University's Excellence in Teaching Award Program honored 218 teachers throughout Kentucky from 76 districts and/or private schools. The teachers are selected by their school districts in each grade level (preschool/elementary, middle and high school). The purpose of the program is to recognize the quality teaching and learning taking place in the school systems throughout Kentucky. TJRH Marketing Dept wins national awards By Stacey Biggs EVP of Marketing, Planning & Development The T.J. Regional Health Marketing Department recently won multiple awards in a national competition for healthcare marketing. The Aster Awards is one of the largest and most respected national and international competitions of its kind and has recognized outstanding healthcare professionals for excellence in their advertising & marketing efforts for over 20 years. The 2022 Aster Awards received entries from across the entire United States as well as abroad. All entries were reviewed by a panel of industry experts and were scored on multiple criteria. Participants' entries compete against similar-sized organizations in their specific groups and categories. Judging criteria included creativity, layout and design, functionality, message effectiveness, production quality and overall appeal and execution. T.J. ACSO Adair man and woman arrested on felony drug charges By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Monday, May 23, 2022, at 5:23pmCT, Sheriff's Deputy Kenny Perkins was investigating a complaint six miles north of Columbia on KY 551. Upon contact with a man and woman, deputies began to suspect the presence of illegal substances in the vehicle they were occupying. Continued investigation led to the search of the vehicle, where suspected heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia was located. The male suspect was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Adair District Court. Both were taken into custody.
