KSP Post 15 searching for missing juvenile

Albany, KY - Kentucky State Police are asking for the publics assistance in attempting to locate 15 -year-old Cody Reynolds, of Albany, KY. Cody is a 5'10" 215 pound, white male, with brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen at the Foothills Academy in Albany, KY on March 16, 2022, at approximately 11:30 PM wearing blue jeans, a grey sweat shirt and glasses.

If anyone has information regarding his whereabouts, please contact the Kentucky State Police, Post 15 at 1-800-222-5555 or your local law enforcement agency. Tpr. Bobby Maxwell is investigating.

Janet Janes, 70, Adair Co., KY native (1951-2022)

Janet Sue Absher Janes of Campbellsville passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at her home. She was 70 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 10amCT on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Roy Phillips and Bro. Victor Matney officiating. Burial will follow in Tarter's Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 5pmCT on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home.

SB140 signed into law

Gov. Beshear signed three pieces of legislation into law on Thursday, March 17, 2022, including Senate Bill 140, which was sponsored by Sen. Max Wise.

Gov. Beshear said that SB140 "allows patients to take the medication that their doctor believes is best for their treatment, rather than the medicine the insurance company - or those who set drug prices - think is best. In times past, patients would have to start with the insurance company's preferred medication."

Men's Prayer Breakfast at Egypt Christian Church

CU Event: The Black Experience in Higher Education

Campbellsville, KY - "Working at the college level shows me that, being a Black woman, we can do great things," Dr. LaWanda Hazard said at a "The Black Experience in Higher Education" event at Campbellsville University.

Hazard, a 2001 Campbellsville University Bachelor of Social Work graduate, principal of Jefferson County Schools and adjunct professor for the University of the Cumberlands, was one of three others on a Food for Thought panel discussion as part of Campbellsville University's events honoring Black History Month.

Evelyn F. McFall, 98, Jamestown, KY (1923-2022)

Evelyn F. McFall of Jamestown passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, while in the company of family members, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was 98 years old.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY at 11amCT on Saturday, March 19, 2022, with Bro. Randy Brown and Bro. Bradley Jeffries officiating. Burial will follow at Rexroat Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.

Visitation will be Friday March 18, 2022, from 5pmCT until 8pmCT, and will continue after 8amCT on Saturday at Mt. Hope Separate Baptist Church, Jamestown, KY.

The Adair County Fiscal Court met in regular session on Monday night, March 14, 2022 at the Jim Blair Recreation Center. There was a large crowd in attendance as some topics of interest was on the agenda. Judge Cowan began the meeting with a moment of silence in remembrance of Kevin Jones, E911 dispatcher and mapping coordinator, who passed away last week.

Baseball: LWC drops single game against Cumberlands
