Letter: pull over and avoid being hurt in chase

James Roberts writes:
Don’t speed, flee or evade the law enforcement and you won’t wreck! It’s called enforcement for a reason! Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time! If you don’t have something to hide then you would pull over and observe the rules as your supposed to when you receive your operators’ license. Some punishments are more severe than others when you don’t follow the law.

My appreciation for all that the first responders do for our community! They don’t get enough praise. - Just my thoughts, James Roberts.

Letter: Police pursuit

Sharon Garmon writes:
Didn't think police are suppose to chase a motorcycle. The Columbia police did this years ago on 206, the man wrecked. he was killed I don't remember much except what I just wrote don't know if the family sued or not. I think the officer involved was but on probation. What an awful thing to have to live with if they hadn't chased him he wouldn't got killed.

Letter: death by virus, or any way, is God's will

Celia Stuart writes:
On Covid and death I know that death is something we must all face. As for covid by death it would be bad but I also believe that God is in control if we get it and survive, have to be hospitalized, be put on a machine, or die. If we are ready to go death by anything is God’s will and I have always believed that.
