There will be a celebration of life Memorial Service at 5pmCT, Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY. The family will receive friends after 2pmCT, Sunday at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg.

Harlan J. Scott, 83, Bullitt County, KY (1932-2016)

He was the last surving member of highly regarded Adair County family. He was retired after 43 years from Ford Motor Company as an Inspector, member of UAW and an Army Veteran (1953-1954) of the Korean War.

Funeral service will be 12:45pmCT/1:45pmET, Sunday June 11, 2016 in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. and Brooks Rd), 4895 N Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY. Visitation will be 1pm-7pmCT/2pm-8pmET, Saturday June 10, 2016 and after 8amCT/9amET, Sunday until time of service. Interment will be in Brookland Cemetery.

Camp Rocket is underway at Adair County Primary Center

Students from Adair County Primary Center are keeping their reading, math and science skills sharp this summer at Camp Rocket, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia.

Nearly 80 students who have completed K, 1, and 2 grades will be with us for the next four weeks for learning and fun from 7:30pm-2pmCT each day Mondays through Fridays.

This camp is supported by a Camp Casey/21st Century Community Learning Center grant, Family Resource Center, United Way and Lindsey Wilson College.

Ricky Paull, 57, Summer Shade, KY (1959-2016)

He was foreman of East Anderson Hardwoods and a farmer, and a member of the Beaumont Methodist Church. He was a son of Dorothy (Turner) and Harold Paull, who survive. His wife of 33 years, Robin Paull, also survives. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Richard (Ricky) Wayne Paull, age 57, of Summer Shade, died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 on the family farm in Summer Shade.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1pmCT, at the Beaumont Methodist Church, Beaumont, Metcalfe County, KY. Burial will follow in the Beaumont Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 12pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, and on Friday after 7amCT until 10:30amCT at the funeral home, and after 11amCT, until time of services, at the Beaumont Church.

(June 9, 2016) - Attorney General Andy Beshear today announced that a Franklin County grand jury has returned separate indictments charging Elliott County Clerk Shelia Blevins and her sister, Elliott County Deputy Clerk Jeannie Moore, with complicity to commit abuse of public trust under $10,000 in connection with misuse of public funds in 2014.

Columbia, KY firm MSI's work in 300 Building

Visitors and workers are met with work of Adair County's Morgan-Smith Industries each time they enter the lobby. Both the stunning lobby reception desk and the 75 foot long feature wall designed, created, and installed by MSI.

Morgan Smith Industries, Columbia, KY, recently completed a project for the 300 Building - the new state government office building in Frankfort. This five-story building will house 1,457 state employees.

MSI built the main lobby reception desk (stone and wood) as well as a 75 foot long wood feature wall.

She will volunteer her time and expertise to direct PRIDE, a nonprofit organization that promotes environmental cleanup and education in 42 counties of southern and eastern Kentucky.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Wed 8 Jun 2016) - A report from Kentucky Auditor Mike Harmon today reaffirmed the results of an internal investigation by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.

The auditor's report is in response to a Fish and Wildlife internal investigation that brought to light an agency employee's suspected misappropriation of funds covering several years.
