Morgan, 65, Columbia, KY (1959-2025) Sheila Faye Morgan of Columbia transitioned from this life to her eternal life with Jesus on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:08 P.M. at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, after she fought a brave battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Pastor Glenn McInteer officiating. Burial will follow in Beulah Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 5pmCT on Thursday. Schools will be closed on Friday, April 25 From Jason Faulkner, Superintendent Adair County Schools Out of love and respect for the family of Skylar Huckabee, an 8th grade student at Adair County Middle School, all Adair County Schools will be closed on Friday, April 25, 2025, to allow students, staff, and the community to attend his funeral. Skylar's funeral service will be held at NoonCT at Free Union Separate Baptist Church, 4600 Sano Road, Columbia, KY. ACMS student Sky Huckaby, age 14, Columbia, KY Skyler "Sky" Colton Huckaby, of Columbia, passed away April 20, 2025, at Russell County Hospital, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 14 years of age. Born September 29, 2010, he was a son of Barry Huckaby and Goldie Brown. Sky was an 8th grade student at Adair County Middle School. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America, and he attended Free Union Separate Baptist Church. His family considered him to be a true "country boy". Sky had a big heart for those in his life and that was evident by how much he loved his family. He dreamed of one day becoming a police officer and serving the community. Sky had a wonderful personality, and he was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. LWC DPS Mike Staten named a Remarkable Raider From Duane Bonifer One of Lindsey Wilson College's more unassuming staff members, who spends most of his days working behind the scenes, was put in the spotlight on Tuesday afternoon. Lindsey Wilson Director of Public Safety Mike Staten '07 was named the 2025 "Remarkable Raider" on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, by Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association. The "Remarkable Raider" award is presented annually by the Lindsey Wilson Student Government Association to a member of the Lindsey Wilson community who exemplifies the Lindsey Wilson mission.
