Wayne Melton, 71, Adair Co., KY (1953-2025) Wayne Melton of the Glens Fork community died on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at his home. He was 71 years old. A graveside service will be held at 11amCT on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Haven Hill Cemetery, with Bro. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation is requested after 10:30amCT on Tuesday at Haven Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Adair Co Schools mourn the loss of Skyler Huckaby It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of one of our students, Skyler Huckaby, an 8th-grade student at Adair County Middle School. Skyler tragically lost his life in a car accident earlier this morning. Our entire school community is grieving this tremendous loss. Skyler was a bright and kind student, well-loved by classmates, teachers, and staff. His presence in our halls brought energy and joy, and his absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him. Our thoughts and heartfelt prayers are with Skyler's family and loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time. We ask that the community keep them in your prayers as they navigate the days ahead. Adair County Middle School will have grief counselors and support staff available for students and employees in the coming days. We encourage anyone who is struggling to reach out-we are here for each other.
