Please be kind and accepting of all people. When you have a neurotypical child, you feel reasonably assured that class participation and decent study habits will result in good grades. These kids have close friends. They get invited to participate in social things like dances and weekend gatherings. They make the teams, auditions organizations and clubs. Food Pantry to provide ground beef Partnership allows cattle farmers to help those who are food insecure through the Food Pantry Folks who use the Adair County Food Pantry will be getting two pounds of ground beef per person thanks to the new beef-up-the-pantry partnership that will benefit both Adair County Cattle producers and the Food Pantry. Farmers who raise cattle have the opportunity to donate beef animals for slaughter that will be donated to identified families or distributed via the Adair County Food Pantry. Basketball: Blue Raiders snap three game losing streak The Lindsey Wilson men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with an 85-65 victory over Ohio Christian on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at Biggers Sports Center. Daivel Jackson delivered a standout performance, leading the Blue Raiders with 20 points and a game-high 8 rebounds. Four other Blue Raiders scored in double figures, with Julian Cunningham adding 15 points, Olson Nicholson contributing 12, and both Connor Robinson and Johrdon Mumford chipping in 10 each. The Blue Raiders shot an impressive 52 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from beyond the arc. KY General Assembly to convene in historic Old State Capitol From Mike Wynn, LRC Frankfort, KY - The Kentucky General Assembly will celebrate the rich history of the legislature next week by convening for a day in the Old State Capitol building in downtown Frankfort. The Kentucky Senate and House of Representatives will gavel into session at 2pmET on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, inside the building's historic chambers. The Old Capitol, located at 300 W. Broadway St., Frankfort, KY, is a National Historic Landmark that served as the center of state government from 1830 to 1910. Kentuckians can view the proceedings via livestream on Kentucky Educational Television's website at www.ket.org/legislature. Proceedings will also be broadcast on KET KY, the Kentucky Channel. CU economic impact is $295.6 million By Gerard Flanagan, lead writer and communications specialist Office of Marketing and Communications Campbellsville University's economic impact stands at $295.6 million dollars on for fiscal year 2021-22, according to a report released by the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities (AIKCU). The report notes that Campbellsville University's economic impact ranks second among Kentucky's 18 independent colleges and universities. The total economic impact of a college or university is measured in terms of the direct and induced economic impact of the institution's activity on the local economy.
