Indians host McCreary Central in final home game By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County High School Indians host McCreary Central in their final home game of the season Friday night. The Indians are coming off of a big win over Butler County, currently setting at 7-1 while the Raiders come in at 3-5 off a 41-12 loss to Rockcastle County who currently sets at 2nd in the 3A class. In that game, McCreary leaned heavily on the run game with just 2 pass attempts for 7 yards, compared to 193 rushing yards. Those rushing yards are an impressive mark against a very physical Rockcastle defense who has only given up in excess of 200 rushing yards once this season. Cumberland Co. posts lowest unemployment for Sept 2024 From Mike Clark/Kim Saylor Brannock Frankfort, KY - Unemployment rates rose in all 120 counties between September 2023 and September 2024, according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics (KYSTATS), an agency within the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet.
Cumberland County recorded the lowest jobless rate in the commonwealth at 3.7%. It was followed by Woodford County, 3.8%; Carroll County, 3.9%; Fayette, Scott and Shelby counties, 4% each; Oldham and Spencer counties, 4.1% each; and Anderson, Boone, Bourbon, Jessamine, Nelson and Washington counties, 4.2% each.
