Scenic Adair County - White Oak looking really white

2024-01-16 - Adair County, KY - Photo by Sgt. Evan Burton.
Detective Sgt. Evan Burton shared this scene of White Oak, KY just when I was wishing someone would send a sunset on this day of part-sun and deep freeze. The back roads likke this may keep busses from running if the freezing temperatures go through the week. Tuesday was an NTI day and Adair Elementary has posted an NTI day for tomorrow.

Letter: My former home

Kerry Robertson writes:
I lived at this address until summer 2013, and I remember shoveling the drive more than once. Of course, the parking pad was smaller back then. And one time, I had just finished shoveling when the snow on the roof of the carport slid off and blocked my car in. I don't think I even got back inside before it came trembling down. Nostalgia comes in the weirdest ways.
