Letter: Link to audio for bird identification Billy Joe Fudge writes: Your speaking to the vocals of the Song Sparrow started me to wonder if you could attach a link to the vocals of each of your bird pic posts?Billy Joe, this is a great suggestion, which I'll see about incorporating into future posts. It reminds me that I've been meaning to recommend an app called BirdNet. You can open the app to a listening mode, wait for the bird to sing a bit, and then select a snippet of the audio to compare in realtime to a database of birdsongs online. I've found it invaluable for summer birding, and it has identified lots of birds that I could hear but couldn't see. --Pen 2022-05-23 14:32:18 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
