CU Wind Ensemble, ACHS Band to perform April 29 By Ellie Wise Campbellsville, KY - The Campbellsville University Wind Ensemble will perform a program titled "Water Colors" at 8pmET on Thursday, April 29, 2022, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave, Campbellsville, KY. Also performing that evening will be the Adair County High School band, directed by Jordan Humphress and Cameron Johnson, a 2018 Campbellsville University graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree. The program will include works by Percy Grainger, Yasuhide Ito, John Philip Sousa, Jess Langston Turner and Aaron Perrine. The event will be in collaboration with faculty and students from the School of Art and Design to showcase a variety of student work from the academic year. Help children as a new Advocate volunteer “For three consecutive years, Kentucky has ranked #1 in the nation for cases of child abuse and neglect. Volunteers are needed to help turn these numbers around.” CASA of South Central KY will hold a summer training session to prepare volunteer Advocates. CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of South Central KY, Inc. is a non-profit agency dedicated to preventing and eliminating further trauma to children. CASA provides support, advocacy, and intervention for abused, neglected, and dependent children in South Central Kentucky’s Family Court Systems. A CASA volunteer is a court appointed, trained and committed adult who ensures that each child’s individual needs remain a priority in an over-burdened child welfare system.
