CU students urged to find themselves in college

By Anastasia Gentry, student news writer, Office of University Communications

Campbellsville, KY- Ava Bingham Reynolds, a member of the Campbellsville University Board of Trustees, urged students at a recent chapel service to find themselves in college.

Reynolds graduated from Campbellsville College in 1975 and received her Master of Theology in 2007 from CU. She discussed her past experiences of being a student and how she had multiple professors she could easily go to, to talk to for advice.

"Have you found your person, who will give you advice or a pep talk when you need it? If not, do so because it is very important," Reynolds said.

Phillip Coffey - Reflections

By Phillip Coffey
Riding my racking pony up and down the familiar ridges
All lathered up with our reflections - often with no livery stable.
"Cracker Jack" suddenly got peeved -'tossed far from the saddle'.
Straightening myself up, taking it all in- alone when I am able.

Sailing along through the gales with my new chosen, running mate.
Been a lot of 'toughies, well -together we were' right there in it.'
Wife and I proceeding, slowly - definitely no more running gait.
Walking and strolling, peacefully together- through the pearly gates.
"Cracker Jack" was my ride for probably about five years.
