Beware scammers urging help for family member in trouble

He said he wouldn't tell me which hospital my critically injured son was in without payment.

The blood sucking scammers are out in full force...BEWARE!

I received a call from a Sgnt Mark Panelli with the Fayette County Sheriff's Department (859)444-5428. He said my son had been in a hit and run accident and was in critical condition.

He then proceeded to tell me they couldn't find an insurance card on him - which he keeps in his wallet - that he was unable to speak but they found his phone with my number in it.

He said given "Tyler" had no proof of insurance, I needed to pay $2,000 up front for the ambulance ride.

LWC United Nations Club takes a trip to Lexington

On November 17, 2018, the Lindsey Wilson College United Nations Club took a trip to a unique coffee shop in Lexington called "Chocolate Holler" where each student got the opportunity to try new and unique flavored drinks. Then, the club took a trip to Fayette Mall and shopped "til they dropped--getting pre-Black Friday deals.

The United Nations Club's mission is to celebrate cultural diversity by promoting awareness, understanding, and appreciation of various cultures within our community. The purpose of the club is to cultivate a relationship between international and domestic student that is supportive and encouraging, while having fun and and unifying all cultures and ideas.

CU to present A Christmas Story Dec. 6-9, 2018

Campbellsville, KY - "A Christmas Story" will be presented at the Russ Mobley Theater in the Alumni Building at Campbellsville University Dec. 6-9 at 114 University Dr., Campbellsville.

Show times are Thursday, Dec. 6, Friday, Dec. 7 and Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, all at 7pmET, and Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018 at 2:30pmET.

Tickets are now on sale for $10 for general admission; $7 for seniors (65 and up); and $7 for children (12 and under). Cost for Campbellsville University students is $5 and $7 for CU employees. Online tickets sales are available at www.townhallpro.com/theater-film or you can call (270) 789-5266.

KY farmer pleads guilty $2.6M crop-insurance fraud

A Central Kentucky farmer has pleaded guilty after he was accused of grossing $2.6 million through fraudulent crop-insurance claims. Ronnie Jolly pleaded guilty to four felony charges in federal court in Lexington on Nov. 19.

He agreed as part of his plea deal to forfeit two Bourbon County farms -- one covering 244 acres on College Road and the other 131 acres on Jackstown Road -- to the federal government. He also agreed to forfeit a bank account, but his plea deal did not say how much money it contains.

Patricia 'Patsy' Lanham, 53, Taylor County, KY

Patsy professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. She was a former employee of Dairy Queen and Hardees in Lebanon.

Patricia 'Patsy' Lanham of Campbellsville, died Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Campbellsville at age 53.

Her funeral service will be at 12noonCT/1pmET Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. J. Alvin Hardy. Visitation will be from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Friday, November 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Benningfield Cemetery.
