LWC Women's Tennis falls to top-seeded Keiser By Chris Wells Mobile, AL - Lindsey Wilson women's tennis fell one win shy of playing in a third-straight national championship match, falling to top-seeded Keiser (Fla.) 5-0 in the national semifinals at Mobile Tennis Center. The fourth-seeded Blue Raiders close their season with a record of 14-3. Rev. William D (Billy) Barlow, Metcalfe Co, KY (1933-2018) He was a member of an outstanding Summer Shade, KY family, the son of the late Otis & Nettie Buckner Barlow, and the widower of Emma Jean Shirley Barlow. He leaves 18 direct living descendants. He was truly a faithful dedicated strong believer in Christ and showed the fruit of Spirit to anyone and everyone he came in contact with daily. He was very active in his church and community. He was pastor at SS Missionary Baptist Church for nine years and was currently one of the associate ministers. He was truly a pillar of Summer Shade. He was past owner of Billy Electric and Plumbing Company, co-coordinator of Summer Youth Program at Summer Shade Elementary School and ballgames at ballpark. He started the CB Club and Rescue Squad. He was a bus driver for 20 years, Metcalfe County Deputy, and Metcalfe County constable for 44 years. In 1968 he received several certificates and recognition from various people and organizations. He was also in the U.S. Air Force serving four years and four years in the reserves. He made Airman 2nd Class and was honorably discharged January 31, 1960. James Raymond Followell, Casey County, KY (1963-2018) November 18, 1963 ~ May 18, 2018 (Age 54) He was a self-employed woodworker. He loved country music, dancing, and gardening.
