COLUMBIA, KY. (Fri 23 Mar 2018) Lindsey Wilson College junior Lindsay Daniel, was recently named a 2018 Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellow.

Daniel, a human services & counseling and communication junior from Russell Springs, KY, is a student leader on campus. She is a part of the Bonner Scholars Program at LWC where she has served over 1,120 hours within the local school systems. And she has served with Upward Bound, a program designed to prepare high-risk and first-generation high school students for collegiate success.

Dr. Stephens announces 30 Mar 2018 will be school day

From Dr. Pamela Stephens, Superintendent, Adair Co. School District

Good Friday afternoon.

To make up for one of the snow days we missed this week, Adair County School District will be open on Friday, March 30, 2018, a day which was originally set for parent teacher conferences. Friday will be an "Early Release" schedule with school in session from 7:45amCT until 1pmCT.

With the revised schedule, the last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 24, 2018.

The closing day for teachers will be Friday, May 25.

High school graduation will also be May 25, 2018.

Lenuell W. Young, 85, Metcalfe County, KY (1932-2018)

He was the son of the late Lloyd Earl Young and Vera Gladys Warf Young, born in Green County, KY. His final resting place will be in Little Barren Cemetery.

Hannah Peck chosen to lead LWC Alumni Program

LWC tennis match with Cumberland postponed

The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams Mid-South Conference match against Cumberland (TN), originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed due to forecasted inclement weather. The match will be made up on April 9, 2018 at 11amCT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex, 401 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

Lindsey Wilson will be back in action on Monday when they host Union (KY) at 12pmCT at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

Adair Youth Development Center staff participated in a technology training on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, with presenter Frank Martin from Salem, OR. Mr. Martin's presentation was on secured laptops.

Adair Youth Development Center is now the seventh juvenile facility in the nation to be chosen as a pilot program at no expense to the Adair County School District, Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice or to Adair Youth Development Center. The students at the facility are very excited to get this pilot program going so they can have more access to technology.

LWC leads Learfield Directors' Cup through winter season

Seven other institutions from the Mid-South Conference appear in the standings. Cumberlands (KY) is 21st with 328.75 points, Campbellsville (KY) is 36th with 238 points, Shawnee State (Ohio) is 45th with 218.5 points, Life (GA) is 50th with 206.5 points, Georgetown (KY) is 62nd with 180 points, Cumberland (TN) is 103rd with 88 points and Pikeville (KY) is 147th with 25 points.Midseason standings are unofficial. Official standings will be released upon completion of the spring season. The first spring standings will be released in early May.
