Maury Lewis wants to know more about Cruisin' Cone Comments re photo 74441 Tommy Bailey: Cruisin Cone at Somernites Maury writes: That is the cutest little vehicle. What is it? - MauryThanks. Maury. We agree, it's the cutest ice dream truck we ever saw./ Obviously, you're asking about the brand and details of the truck, and we don't have that yet. It appears that they sell hard ice cream from the truck, which would simplify the operation. Soft ice cream, the wonderful rich, 6% butterfat custardy ice cream sold by the the late Wheatley & Son and later Waggener Bros. from the two Jolly Roger, took master soft serve machine operators and a special mix provider and would be too complicated for today - but maybe not. We'll try to find out. - EW 2017-08-27 17:52:33 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback

He said it happened when he'd stopped to visit his neighbor Theron Stotts and first thought, as he was pulling back onto the road, that he was looking at Theron's big black Lab. "I got within 100 feet of the animal, rolling slowly along behind it in my pickup truck, and realized, even with my poor vision, that was not any Lab, that was a bear! I'd never seen a bear here before. But I knew this was a big black bear, about a 200-pounder," he thinks it could have been.
