Free July 4th festival at Blue Raider stadium - Tue 4 Jul 2017

Lindsey Wison College Campus Recreation is sponsoring a free public festival 2pm-7pmCT, July 4, 2017 at the Blue Raider Stadium football field, 928 Russell Road, Columbia, KY.

FRANKFORT, KY (Fri 30 Jun 2017) - ShellTech LLC, a newly formed high-volume manufacturing subsidiary of Shell Shock Technologies LLC, plans to locate an ammunition shell casing factory in Pulaski County with a $3.2 million investment that will create 50 full-time jobs, Gov. Matt Bevin announced today.

This Is My Country
"This is my country! Land of my birth!
This is my country! Grandest on earth!
I pledge thee my allegiance, America, the bold,
For this is my country to have and to hold."
I am a patriotic soul, and when I think about my favorite patriotic song, "This Is My Country" ranks at the top. It makes me think of flags flying around the square, church choirs singing "America, the Beautiful," Fourth of July, and fireworks igniting from sea to shining sea.

Adair Drug Court graduates three Thursday evening

Information on the State of Kentucky website, Ky.gov, says that instead of spending time in jail, eligible participants complete a substance abuse program supervised by a judge resulting in Drug Court graduates being more likely to return to productive lives.

Program Supervisor, sent the news that the Adair County Drug Court held a graduation event Thursday evening, June 29, 2017, at the Adair County Judicial Center in Columbia, KY to celebrate three who have completed the program. A meal and refreshments were provided for the three graduates and their guests.
