Travis Paul Scott, 75, Adair Co., KY (1941-2016)

He was a member of a highly regarded Adair County family, a member of Columbia United Methodist Church, and retired school teacher of the Adair County School system where taught PE, history, and was a coach and athletic director. He was perhaps the foremost authority on Adair County sports history. He was the son of the late Travis Roscoe & Cuiver Eva Sewell Scott. His wife, Pam Janes Scott, survives. He leaves two direct living descendants

Outdoor Expo today, Sat 6 Aug 2016, 7th Annual event

Admission is $5.00 at the door with children 12 and under admitted free

The South Central Kentucky Outdoor Expo opens its doors for the seventh consecutive year here in Columbia, Kentucky, where the unique event originated. Constantly growing and ever changing, the expo offers new and expanded attractions for the people of our community and beyond. Doors to the public open at 9amCT at the Adair County High School John Burr Memorial Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY 42728.

Expo began in 2010 as small trade show
The expo began in 2010 as a small trade show with an inspirational message delivered at the conclusion. Public response demanded more, so the second year saw exhibitor numbers double with a steady increase in attendance. (More on history)

Frank Riley, Taylor Co., KY (1945-2016)

He was a former Kentucky Utilities manager in Campbellsville, KY. He was a native of Caldwell County, KY, a resident of Spencer County, KY, at the time of his death in Shelby County, and his final resting place will be in Taylor County, KY. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. He had a stellar career with KU, and retired from the company as District Manager out of the company's Shelbyville office after 33 years of service. He had celebrated his 50th anniversary of marriage to the love of his life, Connie Applegate Riley. He was a long time member of Stony Point Primitive Baptist Church. He leaves six direct living descendants.

She was an employee of Amazon and member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. Naomi was a loving and caring person and she loved to dance. She was a native of Casey County, KY and her final resting place will be at Clementsville, in the county of her birth. She was the daughter of Buel and Martha Ann Clements. Her fiance' Greg Burton, survives. She leaves eight direct and two step living descendants.

Herbert Caudell, 86, Taylor County, KY (1930-2016)

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and was a retired Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. Prior to his service in the United States Air Force he served in the United States Army.

Herbert Caudell of Campbellsville died at 12:52amET Thursday, August 4, 2016 in Campbellsville at the age of 86.

Visitation will be held from 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., with the funeral service scheduled for 9amCT/10amET Monday, August 8, 2016 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Evan Tedder and Pastor Brad Epperson. CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - David Harrity, assistant professor of English at Campbellsville University's Louisville Education Center, has been selected to receive an Emerging Artist Award in literature from the Kentucky Arts Council.

This award is given to professional artists who create original work and are in the initial ten years of their art career.
