Ron Hale, 73, Columbia, Adair Co., KY (1942-2016)

Mr. Hale was a businessman in Adair County, KY. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and was a resident of the county at the time of his death in Campbellsville, KY. He was the son of the late Everett & Edna Hughes Hale and the widower of Karen Coble Hale. He leaves 12 direct living descendants.

Adair Fiscal Court REPORT, 14 Jun 2016 Regular session


  • Air Conditioners at Annex, Animal Shelter will be installed
  • Court supports application for grant for Learning Center
  • Court votes to remove large maples from Courthouse Lawn
  • 2016-2017 Budget Approved
  • Speed Limit on Rocky Hill Road reduced to 30mph
  • Hirings, board appointments approved
  • Many other actions taken

Adair County Fiscal Court in a long session last night of nearly two hours, covered a broad range of issues. Two notable and highly visible ones include approval to follow the recommendation of Retired District Forester Billy Joe Fudge to remove the two large maples from the Historic Adair County Courthouse lawn and a vote to enter into a community block grant application, with the City of Columbia as the lead applicant, for $500,00 toward the new Adair County Learning Center and Central Office on the Adair County School District Campus.

SUMMERSVILLE, KY (Wed 15 Jun 2016) – Post 15 Detectives are currently investigating the death of 42-year-old Gerald T. Scott of Summersville, KY.

The Green County Sheriff's Department requested assistance with the investigation this morning, at approximately 2:05amCT, after they were called to the residence of Willard E. Calhoun on Hudgins Hwy in Summersville.

KSP Post 15 investigating Washington County murder

Detectives from Columbia Post 15 seek any information on murder. 51 year old Bardstown man found, still alive, with a single gunshot wound to the head, in a vehicle off Bloomfield Road, Springfield, KY. Victim flown to UL Hospital, where he died shortly after.

SPRINGFIELD, Ky. (JUNE 15, 2016) - Post 15 Detectives are currently investigating the shooting death of 51-year-old Yul A. Rayford, of Bardstown KY.

Post 15 dispatch was contacted by the Washington County Sheriff's department on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at approximately 10amCT regarding the discovery of an unknown male, lying inside a vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound.

Traffic Alert: US 31E closed N of Bardstown due to crash

At the scenic overlook at High Grove

US 31E (Bardstown Road) is closed in Spencer County at the scenic overlook (approximately 1 mile north of the Nelson/Spencer county line) due to a crash. Law enforcement is on the scene and the road is expected to remain closed for three hours. KYTC maintenance staff is assisting with traffic control. CHS FCCLA members win awards at state meeting

Campbellsville High School FCCLA members recently competed at the Kentucky Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America state meeting and brought home several awards.

CHS seniors Abby Davis and Morgan Milby competed in the State STAR Events advocacy category with their project, "Safety First; Accidents Hurt!" They researched and advocated for tougher laws on ATV safety requirements for teens. The two also presented their project in the Campbellsville community.
