Brown, of Albany, has been arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. Brown was arrested by Tpr. David Long on Saturday, April 18 at 2:07amCT. Brown was charged in connection to the burglary of Dyer Drug Store on Thursday morning, April 16, sometime prior to 6amCT in the limits of Albany. Brown was identified by law enforcement through video surveillance inside the store. Tpr. ACHS art students claim two first place awards, regionals At Kentucky Art Educators regional art competition, Caveland Region. Artists also take two third place prizes and one honorable mention> By Shamarie Claiborne, Media Publicity Coordinator Adair County School District, Columbia, KY The Adair County High School Art Department recently competed in the Kentucky Art Educators Association annual regional art competition and fared very well. Adair County is in the Caveland Region and walked away with two first place awards, two third place awards, and an Honorable Mention. Rebecca Janes won first place in Sculpture and Tara Pierce won first place in Mixed Media allowing artwork to compete at the state level. Cody Janes received third place in Mixed Media, Jocelyn Sneed received third place in Printmaking, and in the very competitive Drawing category Sophomore Gabe Wilson received a Honorable Mention. The section of road that is closed is between Goshen Church South Road and KY 1182 (Carl Jordan Road) or near the 2 mile point. A detour will be in place using Goshen Church South Road, Bethel Road and Carl Jordan Road. Flaggers will be on scene to direct motorists so please slowdown when in this area.
