At this time, schools will be in session Thu 8 Jan 2015 By Larry Smith, FM 92.7 the WAVE & FM 99.9 the Big Dawg As of this time, there are no reports of school closings for the frigid weather in our listening area. Superintendent Alan W. Reed was the first to announce that schools will be on regular schedule in the Adair County School District. Reed said that parents should dress children in layers of warm clothing, have them wear mittens and head and ear cover, and have them at the bus stops at regular time. Reed said that all busses are ready and that four busses are in reserve just in case. He said that he and Transportation Director David Jones will be up before 5amCT and we'll check conditions and the busses to make sure that every thing is in readiness for school tomorrow.
