Follow-up on charges against Donald (Memphis) Gibbs By Autumn Meredith Scruggs Kentucky State Police West Drug Enforcement Kentucky State Police DESI West, Kentucky State Police Drug Task Force, and Campbellsville Police Department were executing arrest warrants at 705 Buckner Avenue in Campbellsville. The resident, Donald "Memphis" Gibbs, gave units permission to search the residence. The searched yielded 4.6 grams of cocaine, $270.00 in U S Currency, 2 guns, and a 2000 Chevrolet Impala. Gibbs was arrested and charged with Trafficking Controlled Substance 1st and lodged in the Taylor County Jail. Dallas Robinson, RRNCO in the Kentucky National Guard, to learn how to answer student questions about military assistance with the cost of college. Robinson said that as a Yellow Ribbon School, CU and the Guard have a partnership that allows education for those who qualify to be paid for, in part, or for some in total, by the Guard. He said education, monthly income, health care and retirement are all benefits of serving in the Guard. Men and women ages 17 to 35 who need help paying for their college education are invited to ask for details about how serving one weekend a month in the National Guard makes it possible. Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred on Monday, December 22nd at approximately 9:30pmET. 56-year-old Charles Clements, of Dunnville, was operating a 1997 Ford, traveling west on KY 70, 5 miles east of Liberty. Clements attempted to pass another westbound vehicle and struck the front tire of an eastbound combine causing him to lose control. Clements vehicle left the right side of the roadway and struck the ditch line. He was taken to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, KY; and treated for non life threatening injuries. A bit of Columbia, KY History: First house on Glen Mary Street? Childhood memories of boyhood in Columbia. His father was the late Gene Overton, then pastor of the Columbia Church of Christ. Remembers his first job at the Circle R for $1.25 an hour. 'I thought I was rich,' he recalls. By Ivan Overton I have just recently discovered your magazine and I appreciate it so much. I grew up in Columbia, living on Appen Avenue, while my parents built a house on Glenmary Street (I believe it was the first house constructed on that street). We moved to the Glenmary house in late 1963 or early 1964. We lived there for 10 years before moving to Bowling Green in 1973. I cherish my boyhood memories of growing up in Columbia and all the good people that I got to know. Thank you so much for your magazine.
