Gas was $2.89 just off I-65 in Elizabethtown today.Thanks for the report - Eventually maybe the lower gas prices will reach Columbia. The band has was received recognition for Best Colorguard 3A, Best Drum Line, 3A and qualified for the finals tonight with a chance to win the Grand Championship competing among all classes. Elizabeth Frances Johnson Garnett, 100, (1914-2014) She was the daughter of the late Albert and Enna Burbridge Johnson, descendants of prominent pioneer families of Adair County, KY. She was the widow of Henry Garnett. She leaves four direct descendants. She was a graduate of Glensfork High School and studied music at Lindsey Wilson Academy. She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a charter member of the Glensfork Homemakers Club, a gourmet cook, a talented seamstress, and an accomplished musician. She was also a Kentucky Colonel.
