The cyclists were part of the 11th-annual Governor's Autumn Bike Ride Across Kentucky. The four-day, 250-mile ride began Thursday, October 2, 2014, at General Butler State Park and concluded Sunday, October 5, 2014, at Dale Hollow State Park. A total of 27 cyclists from a dozen states began the ride. On Sunday morning, the remaining GABRAKY cyclists stopped for brunch at the Lindsey Wilson Roberta D. Cranmer Dining & Conference Center and then toured the E. Fay Jones-designed John B. Begley Chapel. The group was assisted in Adair County by members of the Columbia Rotary Club, including Gerald and Natasha Holt, both of Columbia.
