Officers seize close to $10,000 after Simpson Co., KY traffic stop By Jared Newberry, Public Affairs Officer KSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Region 2, Louisville Division Officers with Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, KY CVE division seized close to $10,000 dollars following an early morning traffic stop. At approx 07:39 hrs this morning, Friday, September 20, 2013, Senior Officer Jeremy Duvall stopped a silver 2011 Toyota Camry for a traffic offense. The vehicle was travelling on I-65 northbound, near the 4 mile point inside Simpson County. Upon interviewing the operator, officers developed cause to initiate a search of the vehicle's contents. Officer's found nine bundles of U.S. currency concealed in a sock within the trunk area of the vehicle. A hand count of the currency revelaed close to $10,000. The Louisville DEA Office has placed an administrative seiszure on the monies.
