Thanks for proofreading help CM needs all the help it can get. We especially appreciate the proofreading notes from everybody - Robert Stone usually catches them, but occasionally, the volume of posts delays every correction. This morning, Trish Zatkoff noted the irony in "GED(R) test will be give free May 15-21, 2013," and when her note wasn't understood by our rather slow minded early morning editor, who asked for more context, she explained and made the editor's day!. "It says 'test will be give free'. I was thinking 'given' might sound better, but I am a former student of Elizabeth Webb...I just thought it was funny since it was for a GED. We love ya Ed!! Coming to graduation?"Our thanks to a very patient and understanding Trish Zatkoff, for helping me start the day in an awesome manner! And to spare my former English teacher, Miss Frances Russell, needless embarrassment, I won't mention I was her student. And please don't tell Miss Russell if you should, God forbid, be called soon to that Great & Proper English w/Optional Latin Classroom in the Sky. It might ruin her day, even there. - ED WAGGENER 2013-05-15 08:07:44 | Comments | Printable version | See topic Letters and Reader Feedback
