Dog Lost at Crocus Creek is Zena: And she's wanted at home This is an APB for a lost pet which Judy Grant spotted near her home, saw in its appearance that it must be somebody's pet, and announced it in CM yesterday. Now she's confirmed that the black and white female pit bull has a home and her owners are eager to be reunited with her. Judy Grant writes: This morning I send a message of a dog that showed up in my front yard. A black and white pit bull female with a flea collar. Later there were posters posted at Crocus creek, a reward poster with this phone number: 270-250-9135. I called it to tell them she had been here. They are very badly wanting this dog back home. So please, if anyone sees her, hold her and call this number. The lady said she couldn't even sleep and is crying her eyes out. She goes by the name Zena, the dog does, that is. So please help them find her. Thank You! - Judy GrantSee Judy Grant's original announcement at Found Dog: came to Judy Grant house this morning 2012-07-10 04:54:55 | Comments | Printable version

Howard Theater, Crab Orchard, KY, has storied past Built in 1947 the theater looks to have been restored from its outward appearance. It is located in Crab Orchard , Kentucky on Hwy. 39 , the main drag for the town. I was surprised to find that many famous entertainers had performed there including Loretta Lynn, the Osborne Brothers, the father of Bluegrass Bill Monroe, Conway Twitty, Homer Harrison and his trained horse, and Jerry Lee Lewis who stated on CMT that it was one of the roughest places he performed. The youngest act to perform in the theater was country singer John Michael Montgomery at the age of 5. He was booked in the theater by his father, Harold Montgomery. - KENNY BROWNING Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) By Kenny Browning, The Feedman The theater was built in the 1940s. An acquaintance of mine, Mr. Ramey, spoke with former owner George Bailey before his death last month to get the theater's history. At the time the building was purchased, Bailey worked for an aircraft company in Louisville. He put $5 down on the building, which cost a total of $2,500. The movie equipment purchased at that time totaled $15,000. Article continues... click title or click here to read whole article. 2012-07-10 04:00:19 | Comments | Printable version
