A Thursday specially priced item, a beautiful presentation is served at Pablo's Mexican Grill, 104 Public Square, by the Fountain, in Downtown Columbia, KY. Remembering Sarah B. Hart: Prayers for family at this time

Ann Goff writes:
I don't even know any of the family of Sarah B. Hart (photo) but I feel so sad for them, I can't seem to get them off of my mind. I know this is going to be the hardest trial that they have ever gone through or probably ever will go through again. We as their Brothers and Sisters in Christ really need to uphold them in our prayers, that God will comfort them. He has promised us in 2 Corinthians 12 :9, that His grace would be sufficient and surely they are going to need His Grace in this time of need.- ANN GOFF

Why the towering tree seen from Veterans Bypass

Same as geese

Old Coddger writes:
This taller tree is really quite simple. It is like the V's that the geese fly in, one side is always longer than the other. Do you know why? Answer-It has the most geese in it. So this tree is just taller. --Old Coddger

Public Art Enhances Our Lives

Someone has stated that just as trees add oxygen to our natural environment, public art provides "oxygen" to our built environment. - VONNIE KOLBENSCHLAG

By Vonnie Kolbenschlag

Public art is a term for any art exhibited in a public space that is accessible to everyone.I would like to express appreciation for two public art pieces recently shown on CM. Dr. Max Downey's sculpture at 301 Burkesville Street and the flag/bench display at Betty's OKCC at 2339 Campbellsville Street.. The many flags on telephone poles fit that category too.

Thinks Dave & Doss could remember springhouses

Comments re photo 45595 Scenic Adair Co KY The Joys of Lurking Downtown

Larry Joe Murray writes:
I would almost bet that Dave and Gerald can remember when almost everyone had a springhouse that kept milk and other stuff in it cold - Larry Joe Murray
Thanks. Larry Joe. I can't remember that far back. But I bet they could. There is not much one can't learn from these two. There is no metric to tell just how much they know. But it would have to be an Eleven, with Ten is as it goes. On the springhouse, all we can do is get up the nerve to ax 'em the question point blank. If they know, they might tell us - or might not. Doss is from Pellyton, and there are a lot of plumb notional people up there. -EW
