Travel: KY 337 in Taylor County closed for safety Improvements

By Chris Jessie

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY - Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be replacing two culvert pipes along KY 337 in Taylor County This week. Motorists using KY 337 north of the KY 744 intersection or south of the KY 49 intersection in Marion County should plan alternate routes accordingly. The existing pipes have deteriorated and experience flooding problems during peak rainfall events. The work will allow for better flow capacity, improving safety at the location. Travel: Turkish hospitality unrivalled

Click on headline for story with photo(s)

By Frank Dickerson

Way-ell, if no one else has anything to say, I would like say a few words about Turkey.

On a Mediterranean cruise in 1972, we stopped at Izmir to take a tour of Ephesus and I shot the accompanying photo of a disappointed young lady with her broken kite which had recently crashed upon the rocks. Her expression says it all and if that doesn't tug at your heart strings, you're most likely dead.

Turkish hospitality is unrivaled and I recommend it highly. --Frank Dickerson, California, originally from Pellyton, Adair County, KY.
