Having Red Ripe Tomatoes off the vine in Montpelier, KY Joe Coffey, the extraordinary gardener of Montpelier, KY, reported yesterday that he and wife Ada Troutman Coffey have already harvested and eaten 10 tomatoes. The plants were started in March indoors, but are now in his garden. A neighbor across the line in Russell County, Mr. Terry Lawless, has harvested tomatoes, too, so he isn't claiming any record.
