If Columbia means business on tourism, it needs to be prepared

Robert Stone writes:
There should be a parking space with a sign saying "Reserved for Canadian tour bus." - ROBERT STONE.
Thanks, Mr. Stone. Excellent suggestion. And one so obviously important, we wonder how it escaped the fertile minds of JIM and Billy Joe Fudge. Thanks. If the Powers that Should Oughta - the Columbia City Council - has any vision, there won't be any delay. - ED WAGGENER

The Whitehurst Diaries: The search for viable solution for wildlings

Comments re article 47674. Sugar Mama's family more than doubles just in over 72 hours

Sharon Whitehurst

Wherever we have lived, the problem of feral cats has been on-going.

Any animal lover feels despair when yet another pregnant cat is seen to be lurking on the property or a vagrant Tom leaves "calling cards" on the porch furniture.

There doesn't seem to be a viable solution for these wildlings.

It is both inhumane and despicable however, to get one's hands on helpless kittens [or puppies] and treat them as garbage to be dumped.

Sugar Mama [and her human family] deserve blessings for their kindness. -SHARON WHITEHURST

Cousin Brother Jim writes:
Ed, This r-tickle is way too good for it just to drift off into oblivion. Maybe you could bump it to the top of CM's home page for a bit and/or include it in the "Today with CM" listings? -COUSIN BROTHER JIM
Thanks, Cousin Bro. Jim. You're right. I'll check with my co-editor and Vice President of the Magazine Company (he informed me), E. Smth Waggener. I think he will agree with you. Otherwise, apologies. Even with the incredibly busy day yesterday, not to note this extraordinary work more. Each time we get an article from Mr. Watson we realize that he not only knows Adair County History - he's one outstanding writer. Right now, we're working on getting a complete bibliography. CM celebrates his entire catalog. -ED
