Warning: Don't look, Ellen!

2019-03-31 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo snake by Pen, Forsythia by Linda.
The flaming Forsythia is placed over the photo of a spring snake traveler and may be the last you'll see of snakes on CM from now on if Ellen Zornes has her way. She works hard for her fellow citizens, volunteers for many organizations, and all she asks is, "...tell Pen to please just fix future snake pictures so a reader can't see it before he/she has to click on it to get to the real snake picture."

Snakes bother her so much that she can't look at pictures of them and has to be careful not to scan over one as she scrolls through photos. She completely understands that many are able to look at and even appreciate the contributions of snakes on this earth, but that doesn't mean she wants to look at them in her local news and be surprised by them just as if she'd stepped too close to it. She will also not want to click 'read more' and see Mike Watson's Snake Creek story. So, Ellen, focus only on the Forsythia, not on the photo behind it! Readers who'd like to see the full snake in the photo below the flowers may click 'comment' below and we'll send it to you directly. - LW
