Christmas Wish List December 25, 1901 Inbox x JD Gee Attachments4:21 AM (8 minutes ago) to me The Adair County News dated December 25, 1901 (likely published a day or two earlier) remarked that "The merchants of Columbia are prepared for the biggest holiday trade of their lives, judging by the immense stocks they are displaying. And anything from a copper's worth of peanuts to the finest article of cut-glass gold or silver, can be found in abundance in almost every store. . ." Nonetheless, in that era of less commercialized holidays, only Mr. Coy E. Dudgeon of Cane Valley placed an ad for Christmas goods in this edition of the paper.
