Pikeville Medical Center

2011-07-21 - Pikeville, KY - Photo by Brenda Mann. This photo was taken in front of the Armington Learning Center for Undergraduate Sciences and Mathematics and School of Osteopathic Medicine on the Pikeville College's campus. Former Governor Paul Patton is currently the President of Pikeville College. Kyle attended a five week PEPP Program at the University of Kentucky last summer. This year's PEPP program at Pikeville College offered a smaller campus and a view into a somewhat different approach to medical education/treatment, since Pikeville Medical School is a school of Osteopathic Medicine.Kyle and the other students not only had great lecture/laboratory activities, but were able to have some unique experiences at the Pikeville Medical Center through observations of surgeries and other procedures. This was a great opportunity for Kyle to network with other students and one for which I hope other students in this area will apply. - Kyle's Mother, Brenda Mann, who is also Adair County Assistant School Superintendent
