Scenic Adair County: Snow Clouds, Slippery Roads at 7:20 a.m., Thursday, December 8, 2005

2005-12-08 - Gradyville, Adair CO, KY - Photo Staff. Roads were already slippery at around 7:20 a.m., this morning, Thursday, December 8, 2005, on West KY 80, Columbia, on the hill just above Gradyville. Skiffs of snow covered the patches in the roadway, already making traction in rear-wheel drive vehicles perilous. Omninous snowclouds signalled more to come. The house in the foreground, right, is on Corbin-Richards Road. Near the crest of the hill, left, would be the entrance to Jones-Chapel Road. The ridgeline in the background is in the Alpine region of Adair County, on the Weed-Keltner Road. The bright light in the center of the road is not a diamond shaped sun rising in the east; it is a photographic aberration of the horse and buggy sign warning drivers that this is Amish country. No story. Clicking read more goes to Scenic Adair County Travel Guide
