Louise Spires carries on a great tradition of serving wonderful homecooked meals at The Country Corner, located at the junction of Liberty Road and T.P. Cundiff Road in Garlin, KY, just northeast of Columbia. The restaurant is one of the few places where $5 gets a generous plate lunch and a drink - and, occasionally, a little change back. If you go, get there by noon, Central. The plate lunches are sometimes sold out by then. The Country Corner is open Monday through Friday for breakfasts, lunches, and sandwiches and snacks till late afternoon.
