ACMS students harvest pumpkins

These past few weeks, middle school agriculture classes have been learning about how pumpkins are cucurbits, the pumpkin life cycle, and the 4 P's of marketing- product, price, place, and promotion! Students added value to their product by dipping them in a solution to preserve them longer. They decided on a discount after the original sale to start moving our product faster. ACMS ag students also decided that selling them off a wagon at school where people travel would be a good "place" for our product. We ended the unit by harvesting our product during All In for Ag Education Week.
