Dial family of Adair County connected to the Mayflower

2025-12-30 - Columbia, KY - Photo from family collection.
Annita Dial, seated in front, presented research tracing her family lineage more than 400 years back to Mayflower passenger John Howland, the subject of the book, "The Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower." She recommends that everyone take time to trace and discover their own family histories. She also introduced her granddaughter Lariat, who is learning family research alongside her. Annita's family is pictured wearing family t-shirts that include their verified lineage and will be worn by family members during all holiday gatherings. Back row (Annita’s children): Jordan Baker, Jaykob Lee, Kantlee Harvey, Jaireka Barnett Baldwin, Jenna Lee Gray, and Cameron Barnett. Front row: Annita, center, holding the hands of her grandchildren, Lariat Baker and Laramie Baldwin.
