Four CPD Officers fitted for new body armor vests

2025-03-12 - Columbia, KY - Photo from City of Columbia.
The Columbia Police Department will receive four new body armor vests for officers whose current vest is in the last months of its 5-year duty cycle, purhcased through the Department of Criminal Investigations' Body Armor Grants Program.

KYAG Representative John May, from equipment supplier Galls, traveled to Columbia on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, to meet with four Columbia Police Department officers, Adam Cravens, Anthony Darnell (at left), Justin Cross, and CPD Chief Evan Burton (pictured at right). Mr. May sized each officer for a new body armor vest so they will fit properly for duty use.

Chief Burton says, "Thank you, Attorney General Russell Coleman for this opportunity."
