Dr. Van Giles, or Dr. Van as he is called, was voted among the nominees as the Health Advocate of the Year. The Adair County native is a board-certified physician who attended the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He furthered his training with an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Kentucky, where he served as the Primary Care Chief Resident.
Van chose to follow his original dream of returning home and has been practicing medicine alongside his father, Dr. Chuck Giles. Van and his wife, Karli, also an Adair Countian, and their two young sons, Kip and Guy, enjoy being back home. -- From introductions by Ellen Zornes, Executive Director, Chamber of Commerce Comments | Permalink
