Good weather for mushrooms

All the rain has caused tons of mushrooms to pop up in Central Kentucky this week. I photographed a small group of delicate white mushrooms on a foggy morning walk. I thought to revisit them in the afternoon to try for a better picture, only to find they had succumbed to the cold temperatures. However, I found hundreds of these small brown mushrooms nearby along the trail, looking no worse for the weather. Comments | Permalink
