Rita Moss and her daughter Carla are helping us update the Adair County Veterans list on Columbia Magazine. At left is Eugene Simmons Moss who served in World War II New Hebrides Islands, now known as Vanuatu, South Pacific, sent to Hawaii for rejuvenation. Eugene's son Robert Regan Moss was in the US Army in the Vietnam era. Bob served in Hanau, Germany, 23rd Engineering Battalion, secret clearance so he couldn't reveal anything. Comments | Permalink

Russell County School bus carrying winning students

Russell County first responders had some positive runs over the weekend escorting winning school students. The busses were carrying winners in RC Laker Band, sixth grade volleyball ball champs, and in wrestling. Congratulations to all the students! Comments | Permalink
