Bouquet created from roadside weed blossoms

Flower artist Wendy Burt writes, "Today’s roadside “weed” bouquet — musk thistle (noxious weed); Queen Ann’s lace (non-native flower/weed also known as “chigger weed” since its blooms appear at the same time as those nasty chiggers); greenery is forsythia trimmings; and gorgeous butterfly milkweed — the only native plant in the bouquet." Robert writes, "The slot canyon continues on to this set of stairs at the first waterfall. We did climb the stairs to see the second waterfall, but in order to continue on to the third, we would have had to climb over a huge boulder blocking the creek. Other hikers climbed over it, and continued on, but we made it our turn-around point for the 2-mile trek back to the Bronco." Comments | Permalink Older Photos
